This artwork represents diversity and pride in identity. The human hand and footprint plus goanna, emu and kangaroo footprints represents diversity whilst all being Australian. The hands represent pride in the journey of being Indigenous and Australian. The Aboriginal flag represents Indigenous people and Indigenous players; when they see the flag on the headgear it will inspire them and help them be proud of their identity. The colour palette featuring ochres, blues and greens represents Aboriginal and Torres Strait Island athletes.
